Our Submittable.com submissions portal for our Issue #29—themed “Work”—will open by mid-April 2023 here.
TVBR is a paying market, and we typically pay $25 per poem and $125 per short story/nonfiction piece UPON PUBLICATION. Our modest submission fees cover payment to writers and staff and the production and printing costs of our online and hard-copy issues. All rights revert to authors upon publication.
All submissions will also be considered for an upcoming online issue of TVBR. No maximum word limit is set, though we usually select stories in the 4,000 to 6,000-word range. We accept poems with shorter line lengths for our PRINT issues, as our format is a 3.5 x 5 chapbook. We don’t have any line-length requirements for our website or substack. The submission process is through electronic submission only. The deadline for Issue #29 is December 31, 2022.
