Sirens

ALANA O’KOON lives and writes in Cincinnati, Ohio. She considers herself a “desk drawer poet” who uses the tremendous energy of online poetry outlets as motivation to finish and submit work. She is currently finishing City Poems, a collection of poetry about downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, mostly the area known as Over the Rhine. The OTR area is a neighborhood once plagued by crime, now plagued by rapid change. The poems are intended to illuminate facets of a diverse, population-dense area in flux.
